As an Account Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing campaigns to life—from strategic planning through flawless execution—while building trusted relationships that drive long-term client success.

About Hearst Magazines (Why Us?)

Hearst Magazines is one of the largest publishers in the world, with a portfolio of 30 iconic brands that inspire, inform, and entertain millions of readers across print, digital, social, video, and emerging platforms. We create premium content and innovative advertising solutions that help brands connect with highly engaged audiences while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and forward-thinking workplace where employees can grow and thrive.

Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Partner with clients, agencies, and internal teams to understand business objectives and develop strategic advertising solutions using Hearst Magazines' full portfolio of brands and products.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Research, and cross-functional partners to support RFP responses, pre-sale planning, custom programs, and compelling client presentations.
  • Build accurate, effective media plans that achieve client KPIs, maximize revenue opportunities, maintain profitability, and align with company business rules.
  • Manage campaign execution from contract through launch by ensuring alignment across media plans, insertion orders, order management systems, and client requirements.
  • Lead campaign kick-off meetings, coordinate timelines and deliverables, and communicate campaign objectives clearly with post-sale teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor campaign performance throughout its lifecycle, partnering with internal teams to optimize delivery, manage revisions, and ensure campaigns launch and perform as sold.
  • Analyze campaign results and wrap reports to identify optimization opportunities, support renewals, and uncover potential upsell opportunities based on performance insights.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Hearst Magazines' advertising products, processes, and systems while proactively recommending process improvements that enhance the client experience and operational efficiency.

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 3+ years of experience in media planning, sales planning, account management, advertising strategy, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising products, campaign planning, and media execution.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across a diverse portfolio of accounts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build credibility and strong relationships with clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, Research, Campaign Management, and other internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate campaign performance into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with advertising platforms and business systems such as Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, Salesforce, or similar tools.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • This role is based in New York City and follows a hybrid work schedule.

Benefits (What We Offer)

  • Work with the Best: Collaborate with top-tier professionals across media, advertising, tech, fashion, lifestyle, and publishing, shaping the future of these dynamic industries.
