Job description

Purpose of the Job

At IKEA, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Account Manager, your role is crucial in building and developing relationships with our clients throughout their project journey. Your primary focus will be on ensuring customer satisfaction, fostering loyalty, and facilitating business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated customer engagement strategy to identify potential customers, understand their needs, and establish initial contact to build rapport and credibility.
  • Conduct constructive negotiations with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements, clearly articulating terms, pricing, and contract details while addressing concerns and objections.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams (designers, supply/services coordinators), ensuring clear communication and seamless coordination throughout project delivery.
  • Schedule regular follow-ups and check-ins with existing and potential customers through multiple channels (in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, social media) to provide tailored ongoing support.
  • Develop compelling sales presentations that highlight product and service value propositions, tailoring messaging to resonate with target audiences.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure products and services meet customer expectations and maintain high standards throughout the delivery process.

Qualification

Knowledge

  • Understanding of local market dynamics, competitor analysis, and business customer goals to develop strategic initiatives that drive sales growth.
  • Thorough knowledge of IKEA's product offerings, B2B range, services, and pricing to advise key clients on suitable solutions.
  • Strong negotiation abilities to secure favourable terms and agreements with key clients.

  • Ability to manage and develop accounts across multiple segments, including Construction & Residential, Hospitality, and Services & Workplace, adapting the commercial approach to different customer needs and business contexts.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in B2B.
  • Prior experience in key account management is a plus
  • Strong industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Experience in Key Account Management, B2B sales, business development or a related commercial role, preferably within one or more of the following segments: Construction & Residential, Hospitality, Services & Workplace.
