As an Account Manager, you will drive revenue growth across assigned regions and customer segments for the Cryomech product line by identifying customer needs, presenting solutions and closing sales. You will serve as the primary customer contact for proposals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution. This role also plays an important part in maintaining accurate pipeline and forecasting information in the CRM while identifying new market opportunities, industry trends and potential areas for growth.

This is a customer-facing role that requires strong communication, relationship-building and sales skills, as well as the ability to understand and present complex technical solutions. You will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Service and Production to provide customers with an excellent experience throughout the sales process.

Salary Range: $80,000-$115,000/annually (DOE)

Main Responsibilities

Your tasks will include:

  • Identify, target, and develop new customer opportunities across assigned regions and customer segments.
  • Engage technical and commercial stakeholders to understand customer needs, applications, budgets, timelines, and purchasing processes.
  • Lead discovery conversations and progress qualified opportunities through the sales process to booking.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while providing accurate forecasting and visibility.
  • Manage and grow existing and installed-base accounts through upselling, cross-selling, replacement opportunities, and system expansions.
  • Maintain regular engagement with key customer stakeholders to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Service, and Production to develop and execute proposals on time and within margin targets.
  • Develop and maintain long-term account plans aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Proactively identify unmet customer needs through in-person meetings, video calls, phone conversations, and email.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity information, pipeline data, and sales forecasts.
  • Conduct business reviews and provide updates on account performance, opportunities, and customer needs.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging markets to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Represent Bluefors at trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and other business-development activities, with travel as required.

What we expect from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience within capital equipment or engineered systems.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing customer accounts.
  • Demonstrated success selling complex, technical solutions through long sales cycles.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and have hand and finger dexterity. The employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. In an office setting, the employee may occasionally, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

This job operates in and out of a professional office environment. This position will have work that may be in an office or manufacturing setting. This position interacts with both internal and external customers in a professional, courteous manner, while keeping information confidential as needed. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets and copiers. While in the manufacturing environment, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; heat; cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud. Mandatory PPE’s must be worn as required.
