Job Description

Milliken’s Government & Defense sales team is looking for a Account Manager to develop uniform business within Eastern Europe region.

In this position you will have responsibility for developing the business and relation within Ministry of Defense organizations such as: military development centers, requirement managers, technical departments, buying and budget setting units, military leaders, and influences. In addition, you will be responsible for developing solid relations with leading companies producing uniforms and participating in public tenders. You will report to the VP of Sales.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop new business and programs within Eastern Europe region militaries, law enforcements
  • Be responsible of the development and execution of the overall sales strategy
  • Participate enthusiastically in seminars, exhibitions and events. Act as a true ambassador to present the value proposition of Milliken brands
  • Actively manage the tender process providing the required data and materials
  • Provide (report) accurate information regarding customer product feedback to Milliken team manager, technical team, and marketing
  • Provide (report) timely information on the business – manage the forecast and the opportunity funnel – as well as on the accounts and customer interactions
  • Daily collaborates with supply chain, operations, logistics and customer service to manage customers and garment manufacturers expectations
  • Understand our competitor activities within the region
  • Develop strong networks, maintaining, and establishing strong relationships within Army, Aviation, Navy, Special forces and Original Equipment Manufacturers and Department of Defense decision makers

Profile

  • Experience in complex sales processes involving multiple decision makers.
  • Experience in selling military or other technical textile products is a plus
  • Homebased role with intense international travels required (40-50%) – visits to EU customers, business meetings & fairs and Milliken sites (HQ and factories)
  • Fluency in English required. Ability to communicate with Polish and Ukrainian stakeholders is needed.
  • Bachelor’s or master's degree
  • Practical knowledge MSOffice and experience with CRM systems or other business software
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Results driven and customer centric passion for improving the customer experience and driving customer satisfaction.
