The Account Manager is responsible for prospecting new customers while working with existing customers to educate and promote the various material handling products and services we offer to all levels in an organization. This includes but is not limited to Raymond lift trucks, associated power, various warehouse products, integrated material handling systems and fleet management and telematics offerings.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive sales of Raymond trucks and a full range of material handling equipment and solutions.
  • Develop and present strategic, value-driven solutions tailored to customer needs and operational goals.
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts while proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities through prospecting and cold calling.
  • Recommend equipment and integrated material handling systems that improve efficiency, productivity, and overall customer performance.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and supporting materials throughout the sales cycle.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date reporting, including customer-facing documentation and internal sales activity reports.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to strengthen service delivery and enhance overall customer value.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate customer records within internal systems and CRM tools.
  • Safely operate lift trucks for demonstration and customer evaluation purposes as needed.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain strategic business plans to achieve sales and growth objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information across all levels of the organization and to external customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM platforms, with the ability to accurately maintain and leverage customer data and reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to manage internal and external communications across departments to strengthen collaboration and enhance overall customer value.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and executing business plans aligned with revenue and customer growth objectives.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent presentation skills and the ability to engage and influence a wide range of audiences.
  • Solid understanding of the full sales cycle with preferred experience in B2B sales environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality outcomes, with a focus on accuracy, minimizing errors, and ensuring effective execution.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to identify client needs, anticipate requirements, and drive high levels of customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of sales or account management experience required.
  • Prior experience in the material handling industry is preferred.
