Job Description
The Account Manager is responsible for servicing a customer base of 200-250 accounts in geographic territories covering several provinces, including fuel cycle facilities, nuclear power plants, universities, hospitals, research facilities, emergency responders, and private/commercial/government labs. The Account Manager develops strategies to meet monthly sales quotas and acts as a primary point of contact for customers.
Core Duties/Responsibilities:
• Determine key customer accounts in each territory that provide a significant percentage of sales.
• Responsible for keeping abreast of competitive products, pricing, and strategies.
• Responsible for selling products, services, and solutions to a customer base.
• Responsible for meeting sales quotas and providing yearly territory AOP numbers.
• Establish and execute account management strategies and actions for all accounts.
• Assisting in developing and implementing sales forecasts, documenting business opportunities, performing sales contract reviews, and reporting sales performance to Management.
• Acting as the main point of contact for customers.
• Support the preparation of formal proposals.
• Providing information to the inside sales and service specialists to respond to customers.
• Respond to all product questions or concerns from customers.
• Ability to visit all customer accounts regularly.
• Ensure ongoing maintenance of relationships and service calls to promote goodwill or to resolve equipment performance problems.
• Thorough understanding of the product and discussing product needs with customers.
• Perform product demonstrations and present product offerings and pricing proposals.
• Continuous training on the Mirion product portfolio
• Read and understand technical and non-technical documents and contracts related to the sale of products.
• Participate in trade shows and conferences.
• Work with purchasing department/authorities for all accounts to understand and be informed of the process, including various federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Ability to negotiate pricing and offerings with customers.
• Provide field quotations.
• Work with inside sales support and technical support teams (ASG, Product Managers, etc.) to develop and submit formal quotations.
• Attend weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings as assigned.
• Maintain PBR.
• Identify, track, manage, and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Develop pipeline analysis and reports.
• Work with ASG for support.
• Prepare monthly reports.
• Support internal departments as requested within the sales function.
• Perform other duties as assigned as needed by the sales director.

Skill/Knowledge & Other Requirements:
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience selling in a highly technical environment or related industry.
• College/Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or Science-related discipline.
• Must be able to apply fundamental sales skills.
• Knowledgeable in customer and government procurement and bidding processes.
• Ability to manage and coordinate long-term sales situations.
• Must be technically literate.
• Ability to attend and conduct presentations internally and externally.
• Must have the ability to operate and demonstrate technical equipment.
• Assessment techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating, and reporting sales.
• Must be able to operate independently in own territory.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all organizational levels and external stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Must have an outgoing personality as most of the job will be direct “one-on-one” customer situations.
• Strong computer skills in a Windows environment and Microsoft Office.
• A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.

Other Skills/Knowledge:
• Completed some courses in sales techniques and fundamentals.
• SAP, and Salesforce
• Electronic, industry, and mechanical components background is an asset.
Physical Requirements:
• Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
Working conditions while performing the job:
• Overtime may be required.
• Extensive travelling will be required.
