About the role


Northline is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Account Manager to join our Internal Sales team. In this office-based role, you will be responsible for managing a region-based portfolio of customers, acting as their primary sales point of contact and delivering a consistently high level of service.
You will play an important part in supporting Northline’s continued growth strategy by strengthening customer relationships, expanding your portfolio and identifying new business opportunities. Reporting to the Internal Sales Manager, you’ll be supported by a collaborative and high-performing team focused on delivering outstanding customer experiences while increasing share of wallet and driving new business.

Key Responsibilities
• Own, manage and grow a defined portfolio of customers, driving revenue growth through proactive engagement while ensuring Northline’s service delivery meets agreed KPIs.
• Position yourself as a trusted logistics advisor and primary sales contact for customers, fostering long-term partnerships through proactive engagement, commercial insights, quoting, rate reviews and the creation of mutually beneficial growth opportunities.
• Maintain regular and proactive customer engagement through phone, email, Microsoft Teams and face-to-face meetings, including interstate travel as required to strengthen relationships and support business growth.
• Proactively uncover, develop and convert new business opportunities within customers’ logistics requirements, positioning Northline as a strategic partner across multiple service offerings.
• Educate and onboard new and existing customers by providing clear information, guidance and training on Northline’s operational processes, administrative requirements and online platforms and portals.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with Operations, Customer Service and Accounts Receivable to ensure customers are fully supported end-to-end, with expectations clearly communicated, implemented and maintained. This includes account setup, service delivery, invoicing and the timely resolution of any issues.
• Consistently achieve or exceed agreed team KPIs which includes account management revenue targets.
• Accurately maintain CRM records to track customer activity, opportunities, pipeline value and likelihood of conversion.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will be a commercially minded relationship manager with strong communication skills and the confidence to engage customers across multiple channels. You will take a proactive, consultative approach to understanding customer needs, positioning solutions and driving positive outcomes.
Thriving in a fast-paced and evolving environment, you are results-driven, resilient and motivated by achieving measurable sales targets and KPIs.

A current and valid driver’s licence is essential, as the role requires regular face-to-face customer meetings and interstate travel.
