As an Account Manager, you will review fund constitutional documents from an operational perspective, providing accounting services for the funds and calculate net asset value and investor services. You will also review the work of team members and provide feedback for improvement to guarantee timely delivery and quality of work.

Job specification

NAV Reporting

  • Prepare Monthly/Quarterly NAV reporting packs, including:
  • Cash and position reconciliations
  • Expense accruals
  • Dividend and interest accruals
  • Prepare all capital activity pertaining to the funds (capital calls and distributions)
  • Prepare Limited Partner and General Partner/Shareholder allocations, calculations, and schedules, including Management fees, waterfall, clawback calculations, etc.
  • Trial balance and general ledgers
  • Financial statements and Partner Capital Statements

Investor Services

  • Prepare capital call and distribution calculations and notices
  • Prepare investor requests
  • Prepare capital statements

Operations

  • Prepare procedures and recommend solutions to improve efficiencies
  • Ensure adherence to all internal and external audit standards
  • Implement fund structures onto the accounting system
  • Prepare constitutional documents and client SLAs and budgeting

Team Management

  • Prepare and review the work of team members, providing feedback to ensure timely delivery and quality
  • Establish plans for new client setups and transitions
  • Prepare ad‑hoc reports and operational metrics as required
  • Implement training initiatives

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor or Master level degree in accounting
  • 5+ years of private equity or real estate fund accounting work experience
  • Previous experience working in a team based in different location
  • Experience in reviewing and preparing financial statements
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both Verbal and written)
  • Motivated, bright and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects
  • A team player who is able to manage individual responsibilities
  • Advanced level MS excel, proficient with MS Word, MS PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and prior experience on eFront or Investran system a plus
  • A professional designation such a C.A., C.P.A., or C.M.A. etc., would be an asset.
