Job Description

We are currently seeking an Account Manager to join our Commercial Sales Team. Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager, this role is ideal for an ambitious, early-career sales professional looking to build a long-term career in the design and construction industry.

The Junior Account Manager will support the development and growth of commercial, industrial, and municipal accounts. Working closely with senior team members, you will help maintain client relationships, track project opportunities, and assist in securing product specifications and sales.

This role provides hands-on exposure to architects, landscape architects, engineers, developers, and commercial contractors, offering a strong foundation in technical sales and account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Assist in managing and growing a portfolio of commercial landscape contractors and design professionals
  • Build and nurture relationships with architects, landscape architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Conduct introductory meetings and presentations (independently and alongside senior team members)
  • Provide product information, samples, and basic technical support to clients
  • Track project opportunities in CRM from early design through installation
  • Coordinate follow-ups, quotations, and internal communication between customers and operations teams
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build market presence
  • Continuously develop industry knowledge through training and professional development
  • Support senior Account Managers on large or complex projects

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Construction, Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of sales, customer service, or account support experience (construction industry experience an asset)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up and time-management abilities
  • Comfortable delivering presentations and speaking with professionals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience an asset
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 base
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $75,000 – $80,000 (base + commission & performance-based incentives)
