Account Lead

Our client is a boutique Toronto-based advertising agency specializing in communications for unions and labour organizations. With a senior-led, intentionally lean structure, the agency partners closely with clients to deliver integrated campaigns across video, social, print, OOH, and digital channels.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Account Lead to serve as the primary account lead within a small, entrepreneurial agency environment. This is a high-visibility role working directly alongside the President and senior leadership.
The successful candidate will take full ownership of day-to-day client management and the end-to-end coordination of integrated campaigns. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a lean structure, operates independently, and brings strong project management discipline to complex, multi-channel work.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership
Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, building trusted, long-term relationships
Lead client communications with confidence and clarity
Translate client objectives into clear, actionable briefs for creative and production partners
Anticipate client needs and ensure seamless delivery of all projects
Project & Financial Management
Oversee end-to-end project delivery across video, social, print, OOH, and digital channels
Manage scopes, timelines, budgets, and resources with strong financial accountability
Lead invoicing processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness
Support forecasting and profitability tracking for assigned accounts
Coordinate freelance and contract partners to ensure projects move efficiently from concept through production and launch
Presentation & Communication
Develop clear, well-structured client presentations
Confidently present work and guide discussions, both virtually and in person
Ensure alignment between client expectations and agency output
Team Collaboration & Agency Contribution
Act as the central point of coordination across creative, production, and external partners
Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency
Develop a deep understanding of the labour communications landscape
Qualifications
5+ years of experience within an advertising or communications agency
Proven ability to independently manage client relationships and lead projects
Strong project management and coordination skills
Demonstrated experience managing budgets, timelines, and invoicing
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
Comfortable operating in a small agency where ownership and accountability are essential
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Docs)
Based in the Greater Toronto Area
Work Environment
This is a true hybrid position, offering flexibility while maintaining in-person collaboration as needed.
Compensation
Title and compensation will be aligned to experience: $75K - $110K plus benefits and bonus.
