About the role and team

Working at Uber means solving hard problems in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment. As an Account Executive for Uber Direct, you will join our last-mile delivery solution team, helping businesses scale with fast, reliable delivery in a high-growth business landscape. This role is about navigating the messy reality of last-mile logistics, turning complexity into growth by connecting diverse industries—from restaurants to retail—with Uber’s innovative delivery network.

The pace here is intense and the stakes are high, as you will be responsible for building a multi-billion dollar business pillar from the ground up. You’ll need a mindset of grit and ownership to handle shifting priorities, internal complexity, and the inevitable "no" while building long-term partnerships. This isn't a role for someone looking for a script; it’s for a resilient problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and is motivated by the tangible impact of powering movement for millions.

What you’ll do

  • Own the sales pipeline end-to-end, from aggressive prospecting and lead qualification to closing complex delivery solutions.

  • Navigate ambiguity and internal complexity to design tailored logistics partnerships that solve specific client delivery needs.

  • Collaborate across operations, product, and legal to resolve blockers and shape proposals that scale effectively.

  • Lead tough negotiations and pricing discussions, staying resilient through the sales cycle to secure stakeholder support.

  • Adapt your sales approach based on shifting market dynamics and imperfect information to unlock value for both clients and Uber.

  • Track performance data and manage pipelines with discipline, ensuring all promises are followed through even when things get messy.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a full-cycle B2B sales role, business development, or client-facing roles.

  • Experience with prospecting, outreach activities, and driving contracts to closure.

  • Proficiency in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and standard office suites (Google Suite or Microsoft Office).

  • Professional experience in the logistics, last-mile delivery, or eCommerce fulfillment space.

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to interpret data and use datasets to support actionable recommendations and strategic decision-making.

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders with conflicting priorities during a complex sales process.

  • Demonstrated systems thinking and the ability to thrive in a high-ambiguity, fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of API integrations and how they relate to on-demand/same-day delivery services.

  • Fluency in English and the relevant local language for the region of operation.

About Uber

We are Uber. The go-getters. The kind of people who are relentless about our mission to help people go anywhere and get anything and earn their way. Movement is what we power. It’s our lifeblood. It runs through our veins. It’s what gets us out of bed each morning. It pushes us to constantly reimagine how we can move better. For you. For all the places you want to go. For all the things you want to get. For all the ways you want to earn. Across the entire world. In real time. At the incredible speed of now.

The idea for Uber was born on a snowy night in Paris in 2008, and ever since then our DNA of reimagination and reinvention carries on. We’ve grown into a global platform powering flexible earnings and the movement of people and things in ever expanding ways. We’ve gone from connecting rides on 4 wheels to 2 wheels to 18-wheel freight deliveries. From takeout meals to daily essentials to prescription drugs to just about anything you need at any time and earning your way. From drivers with background checks to real-time verification, safety is a top priority every single day. At Uber, the pursuit of reimagination is never finished, never stops, and is always just beginning.
