This is position is virtual in Texas. Preferably Houston, Dallas or San Antonio.

Account Management/Key Accounts work focuses on medium to long-term planning and face-to-face selling of a variety of foodservice related products, services and/or solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined sales territory containing existing and prospective clients. Key activities include: Developing medium to long-range sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify relationships; Identifying and managing regular interactions with assigned customers; Resolving problems and ensuring customers receive high quality customer service; Prospecting new business opportunities with new and existing customers; Developing client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts; Reviewing and reporting on customer retention, business opportunity and market trends. Incumbents in this territory sell direct to the ultimate purchaser and indirectly through channel partners, brokers, and distributors. Incumbents matching to this specialization are compensated based on achievements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Requires the application of theoretical knowledge typically gained through formal education (i.e. a postsecondary degree) and on the job training.

  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.

  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products and services.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
  • Represents the organization as a prime contact on programs or projects.
  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA or equivalent + 6 years related experience, or MA + 4 years related experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in the Foodservice packaging industry and/or paperboard packaging markets.

Pay Range: $92,600.00 - $123,500.00
