Role summary:

We are seeking an outstanding Account Executive Splunk to further develop and grow the business in the german region! This individual will play a key role in executing on important Midmarket and Enterprise customer which are germanies economic backbone. The mission is clear: Helping this industry champions to produce worldclass goods and services with the help of our unique solution, gain productivity and competiveness to scale and grow fast with the result to drive a significant share of revenue for Splunk.

We are looking for an inspiring person. Someone who demonstrates a clear ability to grow businesses, close sophisticated multi-million-dollar transactions while still understanding the need for constant pipeline generation and sustainable revenue flows. You will have done this before; experience, knowledge and ideas are a must.

What you'll get to do:

• Own your revenue goal end-to-end — prospect net-new and land opportunities, build a quality pipeline, and develop, negotiate, and close deals with C-suite and executive buyers.
• Serve as the Account Orchestrator: align Splunk's portfolio with each customer's strategic goals and build account plans that grow annual contract value and recurring revenue.
• Orchestrate complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles — navigate the commercial, legal, and technical requirements and lead consultative negotiations that balance pricing, service levels, and contractual commitments.
• Analyze data and create forecasts to set weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales commitments.
• Maintain deep expertise across Splunk's portfolio and articulate solutions' long-term value and ROI in the customer's context.
• Translate cybersecurity and observability trends, market dynamics, and competitive insight into account strategy and relationship maps.
• Tap into the broader Cisco ecosystem — both within the combined organization and across the joint Cisco/Splunk channel — to source opportunities, expand accounts, and win deals together.
• Partner with internal cross-functional teams (SEs, Customer Success, Delivery, Rev Ops, Finance, Legal, Procurement) to align to GTM processes and move deals forward.

Must-have qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant software industry experience (IT systems, enterprise, or infrastructure management).
• Proven track record in proactive business development and closing net-new opportunities
• Accurate forecasting and consistent delivery against commitments across long and complex sales cycles
• Skilled at orchestrating cross-functional teams through complex sales cycles
• Excellent prioritization; able to run multiple concurrent opportunities to deadline
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, results-oriented team player who thrives in a high-growth environment
• Deep understanding of enterprise IT environments, including cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, observability, data platforms and digital transformation
• Experience in SaaS, cybersecurity, observability or enterprise infrastructure is preferred
• Strong operational discipline and proficiency with Salesforce or comparable enterprise CRM platforms
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; an advanced degree is a plus
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel
