Stylist Growth Consultant

About the Role

The Stylist Growth Consultant is responsible for supporting and growing all assigned accounts within assigned territory. This role is focused on engaging individual stylists and salon owners with education, inspiration, and business-building strategies to help expand their clientele, increase service revenues, and strengthen loyalty to Cosmo Prof. The Stylist Growth Consultant acts as a brand ambassador, providing hands-on support and leveraging educational and digital resources to drive long-term growth within their territory.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management and Growth

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned accounts within assigned territory.
  • Provide education-driven sales support, including product knowledge, trend insights, and promotional planning tailored to stylist needs.
  • Inspire and coach stylists to increase their clientele through improved service offerings, retail strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Actively prospect within territory to identify and convert new accounts.
  • Leverage social and digital platforms to educate, inspire, and retain stylist clientele.
  • Partner with vendors and education teams to deliver in-salon and virtual education classes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely order entry, customer data management, and account activity updates in Salesforce.

Field Engagement

  • Conduct in-person visits with assigned key accounts 3 times a month, serving as boots on the ground to ensure strategies are executed effectively.
  • Serve as a brand and education advocate to help stylists elevate their technical and business capabilities.
  • Share best practices in utilizing digital platforms, social media, and education tools to drive stylist engagement and business growth.
  • Attend shows, events, and education seminars; assist with booth setup, backstock, and demos as needed.
  • Support new company initiatives with a growth mindset and help drive adoption across the stylist community.
  • Attend Business Development Days (BDDs) and education sessions to strengthen brand expertise.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements

Experience and Skills Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, education, or the professional beauty industry.
  • Strong knowledge of salon/stylist operations and client-building strategies.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.) for education and engagement.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and educate stylists in both in-person and virtual settings.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and iPad tools preferred.
  • Must reside within assigned territory and be able to travel locally with occasional overnight events.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations, and traffic signals, etc.

The position requires some physical exertion such as long periods of sitting, driving, standing, walking, recurring bending, twisting neck, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.
