About the function

Sales is where our brands meet the real world.

This team builds the relationships that bring our products to life, partnering closely with customers across markets, channels and occasions to make sure our brands are part of moments that matter.

It’s a dynamic, people-focused environment where curiosity, commercial thinking and strong relationships make the difference. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your network, develop your skills and see the direct impact of your work every day.

About the role

The mission is to deliver profitable growth and best-in-class execution across a defined portfolio of On Trade customers and outlets in Ireland. Build trusted customer relationships, translate channel and brand priorities into outlet action, grow distribution and rate of sale, and use CRM and performance insight to prioritise the next best action while protecting quality, compliance and investment return.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Own customer and outlet delivery: Manage an agreed customer portfolio and call plan, build simple growth actions, complete business reviews and ensure customer and internal commitments are delivered on time.
  • Grow portfolio performance in outlet: Win and maintain distribution, availability, menu placement, visibility, serve quality and advocacy across priority beer and spirits brands, targeting white-space and rate-of-sale opportunities.
  • Land activation and innovation brilliantly: Execute promotions, launches, outlet activations and customer training with Customer Marketing, Advocacy, Quality and external partners; track standards, outcomes and follow-through.
  • Use data, CRM and forecasting to act: Maintain accurate EDGE/CRM records; coordinate forecast inputs with Commercial teams, collect volume and trade investment inputs and update Vision directly; use rate-of-sale, quality and customer data to prioritise action and call out risks early.
  • Resolve issues and protect trust: Lead customer follow-through on supply, delivery, quality, pricing, claims, credit and execution issues, working cross-functionally and ensuring all activity meets Diageo, legal and responsible-retailing standards.

About you

Key Competencies:

  • Customer and outlet execution: Builds trusted relationships and converts customer, channel and brand plans into disciplined action that improves availability, visibility, quality and rate of sale.
  • Commercial judgement and data-led prioritisation: Uses CRM, rate-of-sale, forecast and customer performance data to focus time and investment on the opportunities that create the most value.
  • Ownership and collaboration: Operates with pace, accuracy and resilience, resolving issues through Sales, Customer Marketing, RGM, Supply, Finance, Quality and external partners.

Experience/skills required:

  • Relevant FMCG, beverage alcohol, hospitality, field sales, customer operations or account execution experience.
  • Strong customer relationship, influencing and negotiation capability, with a practical understanding of On Trade outlet economics and consumer occasions.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver distribution, activation, quality and rate-of-sale improvements across a customer or outlet portfolio.
  • Confident using CRM/EDGE, Excel, performance reporting and forecasting tools such as Vision to maintain accurate data and prioritise action.
  • High ownership, organisation and judgement, with the ability to work responsibly in a regulated category and resolve issues at pace.
  • Full driving licence and flexibility to spend significant time in trade, including occasional evening or event activity.
