A vital role in the success of new business development, this position will manage and continue to grow existing national accounts while proactively pursuing new account opportunities to develop strong, long-term customer relationships and partnerships. A key element of success in this role will be growing revenue and profitability by providing sophisticated product solutions. In addition to working closely with the Director, this role will also collaborate closely with the Dealer Development, Account Management, and Project Coordination teams.

Duties of the Account Executive include:

  • Develop solid and trusting relationships between national accounts
  • Expand relationships with existing customers, with a focus on growth and profitability.
  • Lead new account prospecting, onboarding, and account management as the face of the company
  • Conduct nationwide prospecting for new account opportunities.
  • Define client product solutions and scope of work requirements (needs and wants), and determine the company can meet those needs. Consult with Engineered Solutions if client needs or wants are outside the company’s standard offerings.
  • Manage communications between national accounts and internal teams.
  • Initiate strategic planning to improve customer results.
  • Prepare client proposals and establish timelines through product fulfillment and installation.
  • Collaborate with the team members across departments to ensure the highest quality of service is provided and all customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Participate in national trade shows, BGU, and other promotional opportunities.
  • Manage new RFP opportunities in partnership with the Director
  • Develop new business plans for each account.
  • Monitor sales metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
  • Manage opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Negotiate contract changes with clients, consultants, and architects.
  • Coordinate with the Project Management team to provide support while traveling to meet with installers, strengthen relationships, and gain industry intelligence.

Account Executive Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Goal-oriented, organized, and a strong team player.
  • Encouraging to team members and staff; able to mentor and lead others.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Five or more years of previous experience in sales, management, key account management, or related fields.
  • Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
