Howden Ireland are delighted to be seeking an experienced and client-focused Senior Account Executive to join our growing Financial Lines team. This is a newly created role that will support the continued expansion of our Professional Indemnity (PI), Directors & Officers (D&O), Cyber, Crime and related Financial Lines insurance offering.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and client-focused Account Executive to join our Financial Lines team. This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional looking to develop their expertise within a specialist area of the insurance market.
The successful candidate will support the servicing and retention of a portfolio of Financial Lines clients, assist with the placement of risks, and contribute to delivering high levels of client service. This role offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development within a growing and dynamic insurance brokerage.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the management and servicing of a portfolio of Financial Lines clients across a range of industry sectors.
Support the placement and renewal of Financial Lines insurance programmes, including, Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Insurance, Crime, Employment Practices Liability & Associated Financial Lines products.
Develop strong working relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
Assist with preparing renewal strategies, market submissions, and presentations.
Obtain and negotiate quotations from insurers to secure competitive coverage and pricing for clients.
Support senior team members in identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
Prepare policy documentation, endorsements, and renewal reports.
Ensure policy documentation is accurate, complete, and issued within agreed service standards.
Handle day-to-day client queries and provide prompt and professional support.
Liaise with insurers regarding policy coverage, claims-related queries, and policy amendments.
Support the retention and growth of existing client portfolios through excellent service delivery.
Maintain accurate client records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Assist in ensuring compliance with the Consumer Protection Code, Central Bank of Ireland requirements, and internal governance procedures.
Participate in insurer and market training sessions to develop technical knowledge.
Keep up to date with industry developments and emerging risks within the Financial Lines market.
Contribute positively to team objectives and departmental initiatives.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across all areas of the business.
About You
Minimum 1–3 years’ experience within the Commercial insurance industry.
Strong experience handling Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers and/or Cyber insurance products.
Demonstrated ability to manage corporate and commercial client relationships.
Strong technical understanding of Financial Lines insurance products and policy wordings.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to analyse complex risks and provide practical insurance solutions.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proven ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
CIP qualification as a minimum requirement.
Experience within a specialist Financial Lines team.
Exposure to professional services, technology, healthcare, construction or corporate clients.
