Account Executive, Early Phase Development

Catalent is seeking an Account Executive, Early Phase Developmentto support growth across our oral dosage form development and manufacturing business. This is a field-based, hunter-focused sales role responsible foridentifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.

The Account Executive will manage the full business development lifecycle, from prospecting andleadgeneration through proposal development, contract negotiation, and account growth. This individual will work closely with technical, operations, and commercial teams to deliver solutions that support customers from early-stage development through clinical manufacturing.

Location:Field-Based (Preference for New England Region)
Shift:Monday – Friday, First Shift

The Role

  • Develop and execute sales plans using Miller-Heiman salesmethodologytoidentify, qualify, pursue, and close new development opportunities within the assigned region to achieve revenue and new businessobjectives

  • Work with legal to execute and negotiate complex development and supply agreements usingScotworkNegotiation Skills Methodology.

  • Present Catalent’s Formulation Development and Clinical Manufacturing capabilities effectively to customers and create targeted solutions that meet their manufacturing and development needs.

  • Present Catalent’s broader capabilities to generate cross-sell opportunities and craft value-added solutions across technologies.

  • Support and prepare development proposals,in collaboration with R&D,andnegotiate these proposals.

  • Collaborate with VPBD’s, Global Account Directors, and other BusinessUnitsBD teams in constructing and executing strategic account plans, if applicable.

  • Provide input into pricing strategy with assigned customers.

  • Other duties as assigned.

CandidateRequirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business administration, orrelatedfield.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in business-to-business sales, business development, or project management.

  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Preferred Skills & Background

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies within the assigned territory.

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of early-phase development opportunities, driving projects frominitialengagement through contract execution.

  • Partner with internal technical, operational, and commercial teams to develop tailored solutions that address customer development and manufacturing needs.

  • Present Catalent’s Early Phase Development capabilities and effectively communicate value propositions to prospective and existing customers.

  • Develop andmaintainstrategic customer relationships to drive revenue growth, expand existing accounts, and support long-term businessobjectives

  • Additionalresponsibilities as assigned.
