Job Category: Sales, Summary:

The Account Executive at CSM Kenworth in Cleveland is responsible for selling new and used trucks to current and new customers. They are also responsible for maintaining positive relationships with all current customers to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate New and Used truck sales from the dealership to maximize retail sales opportunities
  • Meet or exceed goals for profit margin, unit sales and market share for new and used light, medium and heavy-duty trucks
  • Conquest and grow new accounts
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction among all assigned accounts
  • Cultivate assigned customer territories and accounts
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all products and services sold by the company

Duties

  • Work floor days to increase sales opportunities
  • File complete and timely UPs report on all walk-in sales prospects contacted
  • Coordinate with Used Truck staff for appraisals
  • Maintain current data for customer profiles in company databases
  • Successfully complete product and sales training courses as assigned
  • Develop and maintain full working knowledge of all company systems, procedures, and policies
  • Facilitate resolution of customer satisfaction issues including coordination and follow up with other departments and branches
  • Facilitate timely deliveries of customer units
  • Promote sales of finance and insurance services related to truck sales transactions
  • Call on all assigned accounts as scheduled and file complete and timely call reports
  • Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications: Education, Skills, Experience:

  • Associate's degree (AA) or comparable work experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Three to five years heavy duty truck sales or related experience
  • Ability to obtain a Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Ability to read and interpret truck specification lists and various other technical bulletins
  • Ability to demonstrate or display extensive product knowledge to customer and staff to assist with purchase decisions
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and results driven
  • Ability to prioritize and handle numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure while assisting a wide variety of customers and fostering relationships with key industry contacts
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Effective computer, mathematical and customer service skills

Work Environment, Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in a dealership environment to include 8 - 12-hour days with frequent exposure to weather elements
