Who Are We?

Advancing Analytics are a market leader in delivering pioneering analytical solutions for customers all over the world. To thrive in today's market, businesses need to implement AI built on a solid, reliable Data Platform, and we are looking for you to help us build it!

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for an ambitious, commercially driven and self-motivated sales professional with a passion for helping customers unlock value from Data and AI.

You'll be responsible for growing Advancing Analytics' commercial and mid-market customer base across the UK, primarily through new-logo acquisition. Most customers will be at the beginning of their modern data journey—building their first Lakehouse platform, migrating from legacy technologies or looking to accelerate existing programmes.

Working alongside our Consulting and Solution Architecture teams, you'll help customers understand the right data foundations, shape practical Data and AI engagements and position Advancing Analytics as the specialist partner to deliver measurable business outcomes.

You'll own a territory of approximately 50–100 accounts, making effective territory planning, prioritisation and pipeline generation critical to success.

What will you do?

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you'll own a defined territory of commercial and mid-market customers, with responsibility for generating qualified pipeline, winning new customers and managing opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.

You'll segment and prioritise accounts, lead discovery conversations, qualify opportunities and work closely with Consulting and Solution Architecture to shape customer engagements. You'll balance a high level of outbound activity with a consultative sales approach while maintaining accurate forecasting in HubSpot.

You'll also collaborate closely with Marketing, Alliances and strategic partners including Databricks, Microsoft, AWS and Google Cloud to generate and progress opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and develop a territory of 50–100 commercial and mid-market accounts.

  • Create and execute territory and account plans based on opportunity, maturity and potential.

  • Generate qualified pipeline and consistently secure new logos.

  • Lead discovery conversations to understand customer priorities, current data capabilities and desired business outcomes.

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through to negotiation and contract signature.

  • Work with Consulting and Solution Architecture to shape outcome-focused Data and AI engagements.

  • Position Advancing Analytics' services and accelerators through compelling commercial propositions.

  • Build relationships with business, data and technology stakeholders.

  • Develop joint opportunities with Databricks and collaborate with Microsoft, AWS and other strategic partners.

  • Ensure smooth handover into delivery while maintaining customer confidence.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and account information within HubSpot.

Skills / Approaches:

  • Proven success in commercial or mid-market B2B sales.

  • Strong new-business and pipeline generation capability.

  • Experience managing and prioritising a broad sales territory.

  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

  • Consultative sales approach focused on customer outcomes.

  • Good understanding of modern Data & AI platforms (particularly Lakehouse architectures).

  • Strong commercial ownership of pipeline, forecasting and revenue.

  • Experience working with technology partners such as Databricks, Microsoft or AWS.

  • Collaborative approach, working effectively across Sales, Marketing, Alliances, Consulting and Delivery.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

  • A growth mindset and enthusiasm for working in a fast-growing business.

About Advancing Analytics

Advancing Analytics is a multi-award-winning data consultancy specialising in modern, scalable Data and AI platforms. Founded in 2018, we have grown into a team of specialists delivering across the UK, US and EMEA, combining strong architecture with real-world delivery.

Our Databricks partnership sits at the heart of what we do. As a Databricks Elite consulting partner, we bring proven engineering standards across the Lakehouse, machine learning and Generative AI. We are home to two Databricks MVPs and over 70 Databricks certified engineers, including 11 Databricks Partner Champions. Clients choose us for dependable delivery and teams that are easy to work with.

Our partnerships with Microsoft, AWS, Sigma and Tabular Editor underpin how we design and build secure, governed Data & AI.

As a recognised Microsoft partner, we hold three Advanced Specialisations in Analytics, AI and Machine Learning, and Build and Modernise AI Apps - and we are home to six Microsoft MVPs. Most of our work with Microsoft involves Azure Databricks, and we also compliment that with our expertise on Microsoft's AI Foundry platform, focusing on safe adoption and measurable outcomes - as well as supporting our clients who are using Power BI or other parts of the Microsoft Fabric platform to integrate with Databricks. The strength of our partnership with Microsoft gives us access to the product team to provide feedback on their Data & AI Platform - and crucially for our clients gives access to exclusive funding programmes to support POCs and implementations on the Azure platform.

We focus on outcomes, not hype. We train your teams, co-deliver, and leave robust solutions that perform. Our community presence reflects our values, from our YouTube channel to local tech meetups across the UK and regular speaking slots at international Data and AI conferences.

If you want a partner who blends strategic thought with hands-on excellence and keeps things straightforward, we are here to help.
