The Account Executive is responsible for driving profitable growth through the sale of system retrofits,

upgrades, and aftermarket solutions—specifically focused on modernization initiatives and related efforts—for designated key accounts. These accounts are nurtured through established relationships and close

collaboration with other Daifuku sales teams. Success in this role requires an understanding of Daifuku

technologies to accurately assess customer needs and deliver customized upgrade and retrofit solutions thatimprove system performance and extend operational life.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that Daifuku becomes the preferred provider of aftermarket services for the target account list, including parts, audits, support contracts, maintenance service, and modernizations.
  • Analyzes legacy Daifuku systems to identify aftermarket sales opportunities.
  • Implement sales plans for the assigned key accounts by coordinating personal sales activities with appropriate associates.
  • Develops and implements sales strategies necessary to profitably outsell the competition.
  • Leads the sales process with assigned key accounts to profitably meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Identifies aftermarket sales opportunities through detailed review of existing client systems with focus on software, controls, and mechanical elements.
  • Travels up to 30%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of material handling sales or engineering experience
  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), including controls and mechanical components, is highly preferred.
  • System Assessment: Ability to evaluate client material handling systems to enhance reliability and extend operational lifespan.
  • Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Daifuku technologies, including features, functions,and value propositions.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn and utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM following training.
  • Technical Interpretation: Capable of reading and interpreting AutoCAD drawings and technical schematics.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to assess and resolve customer material handling challenges with effective solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable working with internal technical and engineering teams to validate and refine proposed solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for client interaction and internal coordination. Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Self-Management: Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language
