The Sales Account Executive is responsible for organizing and facilitating sales initiatives and processes in key markets by leveraging internal and external resources to greatest effect. Works with our largest existing customers and prospects, to manage, organize and facilitate the execution of their product and business needs, and in developing new business opportunities and driving revenue
What you’ll do:
• Build and manage key customer and vendor relationships in your market
• Relentlessly pursue new business with high profile/high volume prospects, and new category placements within existing accounts.
• Participate in negotiating contracts and closing agreements to maximize profit
• Review corporate marketing activities with regional leaders for efficacy
• Plan, direct, and review daily/weekly activities of assigned inside sales and customer service staff
• Work with local Business Development and corporate sales leaders and to grow divisional sales
• Work closely with pricing team to close deals and manage deviations for bulk order commitments
• General project management related to sales and marketing initiatives.
• Management of national accounts in coordination with the national sales management team.
• Play a key role in attracting top talent.
• Train and mentor junior sales staff
• Participate in local / regional trade shows, marketing events, and customer events.
About you:
• Culinary and/or food retail experience required
• 5+ years of proven sales results
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced selling environment.
• Ability to manage a large channel and vendor/broker network.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Ability to lead a small team is a must
• High trust individual possessing sound judgment and strong reputation in industry
• Strong presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
• Strong Systems skills (Microsoft Office, ERP, CRM, Data Analytics)
• Bachelor’s degree
$75,000-$85,000 + UNCAPPED COMMISSION
