The Account Executive I role is responsible for supporting Core and Key Accounts by providing high-level, proactive support. This role is designed for individuals who have between 1-3 years of prior experience with building relationships, managing daily interactions, and resolving escalated issues. The role will quarterback and delegate agent support tasks and coordinates communication between accounts, internal departments and carriers. This position is part of the Agent Services Division which is responsible for providing exceptional back-office support to our agents and agencies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Resolves issues and makes decisions within their specialization or responsibility while working alongside senior team members, to gain confidence with independent judgement decision making skills.
Expected to learn and perform routine tasks accurately and efficiently.
Assists with building agent relationships, learning about the industry, and demonstrates a strong desire to provide high-level support both to Core and Key Accounts as well as the assigned marketer.
Acts as a liaison between internal departments, providing central point of contact for Core and Key Accounts.
Prioritizes work, meets deadlines, and notifies leadership if assistance is needed.
Collaborates closely and communicates effectively with the leadership team, marketers, internal departments, agents, and carriers regarding Core and Key Accounts.
Ensure IntegrityCONNECT is updated with detailed notes.
Anticipates and communicates with Leadership any ongoing or potential issues or concerns with Core and Key Accounts.
Works to resolve escalated issues for Core and Key Accounts, maintains proactive and open lines of communication with accounts, and asks for assistance as needed.
Promptly notify management of issues with commissions, contracting, hierarchy, and other items that may impact the overall delivery of expected support level.
Critically thinks through situations and aims to provide first response closure whenever possible, provides accurate response, and follows through to ensure full resolution.
Addresses requests within a timely manner (same day if before 4pm).
Return phone calls within 24 hours of being received.
Works with Leadership to arrange coverage and create a game plan to ensure accounts are still supported when out of the office.
Attends regular in-person and conference call planning meetings.
Participate in scheduled calls with Core and Key Accounts when needed.
Maintains a positive, helpful and professional manner always.
Follow all departmental and company policies and procedures.

High School Diploma
1-3 years of administrative experience required
Familiarity with basic computer functions is required
Previous track record of de-escalation skills required
Experience with building external relationships required
