About the Role

The Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of domestic intermodal and highway brokerage services. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives on relationship-building, collaboration, and delivering customer-centric transportation solutions that generate sustainable profit.

You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to customers while working cross-functionally to ensure solutions are operationally sound.

What you’ll do:

Sales & Customer Development

  • Develop, grow, and manage a portfolio of existing and prospective customer accounts.
  • Identify new business opportunities through networking, industry relationships, and strategic outreach.
  • Conduct effective sales presentations and proposals that highlight Matson Logistics’ value proposition.
  • Travel and engage with customers to strengthen relationships and grow market share within approved budgets.

Solution Development & Collaboration

  • Partner with internal operations, pricing, and finance teams to create customized, cost-effective transportation solutions.
  • Clearly define customer requirements and manage expectations to ensure successful execution.
  • Support accessorial processes and collaborate with Finance to ensure timely collections.

Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and timely sales activity and revenue reporting.
  • Use available technology and tools to manage pipelines and track performance.

Professionalism & Compliance

  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Support company goals and customer needs through flexibility and teamwork.

You have these qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of transportation sales experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Proven success in domestic intermodal and/or highway brokerage sales.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and sales productivity tools.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, and collaborative.
  • Ability to travel regularly.

The annual salary range is posted for this position and is eligible for commission. The salary offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
