Job Description

Reporting to the AVP, Triangle Media Services, the Account Director, Triangle Retail Media will lead strategic client partnerships across key Canadian Tire Retail verticals. This is a senior consultative sales role that sits at the intersection of media, retail, and data, working closely with a Media Planning & Strategy Lead and an Account Manager to deliver integrated, high-impact retail media solutions.

What you'll do

  • Owning and growing a portfolio of new and existing clients, proactively building strong relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.

  • Driving new business acquisition by proactively prospecting, building a robust pipeline in Salesforce, and securing net-new partnerships aligned to TRM’s growth strategy.

  • Designing tailored pitches that address client objectives and pain points, effectively communicating TRM’s value proposition and inspiring adoption of ad product offerings (e.g., onsite display, video, social, email).

  • Leading client growth strategies, leveraging TRM’s advertising solutions to deliver on client business objectives and maximize revenue potential.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Ecomm, Data, Insights, Product) to identify and implement new processes and services that drive revenue growth.

  • Achieving quarterly revenue targets across your assigned portfolio through strategic account planning and execution.

  • Staying ahead of industry trends, adapting to evolving ad products and technologies, and identifying opportunities for innovation within the retail media network space.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline.

  • 10+ years of experience in a sales/ solution-selling role in retail media, digital media or advertising.

  • Proven success managing and growing a book of business, including both account expansion and new business acquisition.

  • Demonstrated ability to connect media strategies to measurable business outcomes, with a strong understanding of performance metrics and ROI.

  • Experience working in cross-functional client teams, collaborating with strategy, planning, and account management partners to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Possess superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with experience in facilitation and influencing at executive leadership levels through building relationships.

  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical sales approach, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities.

  • Resourcefulness in maneuvering through a large company while working in a nimble and fast paced environment – ability to adapt and thrive in any business situation.

  • A working technical knowledge of digital marketing, media and/or publishing with an excitement to learn how to produce meaningful insights, counsel, and plan for our partners’ business objectives is preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM tools) for pipeline management, forecasting, and account tracking.

Our typical hiring range is between $80,000.00 and $130,000.00 per annum. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. #LI-AG2
