Reaktor's award-winning tech community is looking for an Account Director to join our North American team in New York City.

If you are in your element when working strategically in a client-facing role and love helping clients to not only solve their known challenges but identify other opportunities for growth, and are curious to experience working in a low-hierarchy and autonomous environment, you might just be what we're looking for.

As an Account Director at Reaktor, you will play a significant role in growing our North American business whilst maintaining our high-quality work output.

This is a hybrid position, based out of our NYC office with ~20-25% of your time traveling for client needs and conferences.

At Reaktor, we care about our employees and value a sustainable work-life balance and support for your daily life outside of work.

Salary: $140-165k + 6% matching 401K and 100% coverage for healthcare, dental, and vision

Your daily tasks:

Account management

  • You’ll be hands-on when it comes to building long-term relationships with senior level stakeholders within your client’s organization and becoming a trusted advisor, this will include things like strategic planning, business planning, and active management of account budgeting and finances

  • You’ll be elevating Reaktor’s visibility at client organizations, actively working to grow accounts

  • You’ll work closely with consultant teams, balancing their needs with clients’ needs and ensuring excellence in service provided, suggesting best practices, helping to spot and manage risk, and helping with issue resolution

Business development

  • You’ll collaborate with Reaktor’s Head of Growth from the get-go to support on pitches and proposals enabling you to start relationships with your own clients

  • You’ll partner with both the North American and global sales and business teams on new opportunities to grow Reaktor from a new business and current client perspective

  • You’ll attend sales conferences with members of the business team and represent Reaktor in global settings

To thrive in this position, you’ll need to:

  • Have extensive experience in taking the lead on managing client projects whether that be in account management, customer success, or related field, we’re thinking 7-10 years doing this would be a sweet spot for us

  • Have analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify and spot opportunities in client accounts

  • Have experience leading and managing high-performing teams

  • Be able to demonstrate how you’ve driven success in projects through customer engagement, retention, and growth

  • Show you’ve experienced balancing internal team and company needs with external client needs

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

  • Be proactive and resourceful, especially at the start of projects/client relationships

We’d love to hear about:

  • Experience you’ve had working on digital / software-focused projects

  • Prior experience collaborating with other internal departments, specifically to acquire the right resources/experience to drive projects forward

  • Experience working in small agile organizations where there has been the opportunity to play a big part in projects and take on a variety of responsibilities

  • Experience in B2B sales and/or marketing

  • If you have experience in the Aero industry, we’d love to hear about it, however it’s not a dealbreaker for us
