TheAccount DevelopmentSpecialist is anInsideSales role focused on growing partnerships with K–12 schools and districts.At the heart of this job,you'llhelp educators discover and adopt toolsand curriculumthat directly improve student outcomes — combining relationship-building, productexpertise, and consultative conversations to drive revenue growth and mission impact.

In this role, the Specialist acts as a prospecting agent for both new and existing accounts, conducting outreach efforts through calls, trials, emails, and presenting online product demonstrations This role is an excellent opportunity for former educators looking to transition intoEdTech while continuing to make a meaningful impact on teaching and learning at scale.

Whatyou’lldo:

Build Educator Partnerships

  • Effectively manage inbound leads, following defined processes and engagement models

  • Proactivelyreach out to decision makers, generating andadvancingpipeline opportunities through the sales cycle

  • Conductexploratory conversations to understandeducatorneeds

  • Deliver virtual product demonstrationsto interested educators

  • Consistently meet or exceedactivity andsales goalstied to quarterly bonuses

Collaborate & Grow

  • Build productexpertiseand understanding ofK-8 classroomchallenges and trends

  • Maintainaccurateopportunity and customer data in CRM (Salesforce)

  • Gather competitive information and share market insights with internal teams to inform strategy

  • Partner closely with territoryEducational Sales Consultantsand cross-functional teams

  • Representthe companyat in-person conferences or school visits

Youdon'tneed a traditional sales background to thrive here — many of our strongest performers came straight from the classroom. What matters most:

  • Customer-centric mindset with a background in teaching, sales, or customer success—a genuine passion for improving education and supporting teachers andstudents

  • Ability to translate classroom experience into consultative conversations with educators, understanding instructional needs and connecting them to solutions

  • Results-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiencywith essential business applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)and chat-based AI tools, preferred experience with Salesforce (CRM) but notrequired

  • Strong curiosity and the ability to quickly learn new products and processes

  • Comfort withdecision-making, accountability andmanaging multiple priorities

  • Flexible thinking to pivot, adjust and strategize

  • Demonstrates integrity, ethical standards, and professionalism

  • A passion for improving education and supporting teachers and students

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3-5years of work experience with a background in sales, customer service, or K-12 education (or a combination)teaching experience is highly valued and considered directly relevant

  • Or a combination of education and experience that proves competenciesrequiredfor the role.Transferrableskills andorrelevantexpertiseispreferred

Benefits and Pay Range:


Pay Range – This role’s range is $43,375-$70,875. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
