MMGY has an immediate opening for an Account Coordinatorin our Los Angeles office who’s looking to go places.

MMGY’s Representation Services Division has an amazing roster of clients from around the world. From some of the world’s most amazing destinations to best in class resorts and hotels we are seeking a sales and marketing professional that will be as inspired as we are by the memorable experience that we have the opportunity to promote.

We have an immediate opening for an Account Coordinator in our Los Angeles, CA office. The position is working with several of our key destination accounts on their integrated sales and marketing plans.
We are seeking professional candidates with 1 - 2 years of sales, marketing or public relations experience, to contribute to a key tourist board accounts, supporting and implementing programs in the areas of travel trade engagement, marketing, special events and public relations.

Primary Duties may include:
● Support team members with administrative aspects of a key tourist board account including preparation of comprehensive market intelligence reports, project briefs, budgets etc.
● Planning and management of events and special projects
● Support the planning and delivery of entertaining & informative webinars, sales calls (virtual and in person) and training programs with travel distribution partners
● Development of industry relations with tour operators, consortium, travel advisors, wholesalers, airlines and client stakeholders including networking and event representation
● Support the planning and delivery of trade educationals including itinerary development, participant recruitment and hosting in destination
● Maintain travel trade and media databases including consumer and trade press
● Support the planning and delivery of events and trade show activities including onsite participation
● Adherence and contribution development of project workflow and timelines
● Coordinate internal and external meetings, including attendee invitations, agendas, location reservations, AV, taking and distribution of meeting notes and other miscellaneous logistics
● Develop activity reporting with strong focus on conversion metrics

Required Skills:
To fulfill your duties, your skills must include:
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● 1 - 2 years of experience in the fields of sales support, training, marketing, public relations or event management (preferably in the tourism industry)
● Excellent time management skills with ability to develop and adhere to independent deadlines
● Event planning and budgeting
● Ability to multi-task and handle several projects at one time on tight deadlines
● Highly organized and willing to manage numerous administrative functions
● Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
● Ability to travel both domestically and internationally

Preferred Skills:
● Knowledge of tourism destination sales and marketing either via education or job experience

Education Requirements
● 4-year degree in marketing, tourism, communications or public relations

Salary Range: $46k-48k
