About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Account Clerk to support our Accounting team with core day-to-day financial operations. This role is primarily responsible for processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of our accounting processes.

Unlike our Project Accountant role, this position is not responsible for project financial management or direct support of Project Managers, but instead focuses on the accurate and timely execution of accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume accounts receivable transactions
• Enter and maintain accurate financial data within accounting systems
• Support collections efforts by tracking outstanding invoices and sending reminders
• Assist with expense reports and employee reimbursements
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Provide general administrative support to the Accounting team
• Assist with month-end close activities, including data preparation and account reconciliation (Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger Account Reconciliation, Quarterly Payroll Taxes, etc.)
• W2 Preparation
• Audit Preparation
  

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 0–3 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative role
• Prevailing wage rate experience a plus.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow established processes and procedures
• Strong organizational and time management skills
