Accommodations Testing Proctor

This position offices in-person, on campus.

An Accommodations Testing Proctor for Valor Christian High School supports students with approved academic accommodations by providing a secure, organized, and distraction-free testing environment that promotes student success and academic integrity. This role is responsible for administering and proctoring assessments in accordance with accommodation plans, coordinating confidential testing logistics with students and faculty, maintaining accurate testing records, and ensuring the secure handling of all assessment materials. The Proctor works collaboratively with the Academic Support team to coordinate testing schedules, provide consistent testing room coverage, and uphold Valor Christian High School's commitment to successful student outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administer and proctor tests for all students with alternate testing location and time-and-a-half accommodations while maintaining a positive, vigilant and temptation-free testing environment

  • Coordinate with students and teachers to ensure a seamless, confidential handoff of all testing materials

  • Record and maintain accurate and timely entries of all tests in the Accommodations Testing Log and record student attendance.

  • Manage, organize, secure, and return all testing materials

  • Collaborate with other Accommodations Proctors on all scheduling needs, ensuring week-long testing room coverage

  • Assist other Accommodations Testing Proctors with any testing related tasks

RESULTS

The Accommodations Testing Proctor will have delivered a consistent, secure, and well-managed accommodated testing program by ensuring assessments were administered in compliance with approved accommodations, maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of testing materials, and coordinating effectively with students, faculty, and the Academic Support team.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office software programs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service

  • Self-motivated, team player

  • Experience working with students and parents preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The same basic physical demands described here are the same for all employees to successfully perform the essential functions of their jobs. Employees must periodically lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and could occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral/depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics are varied and include classroom, office, and outdoor events while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is also varied.

POSITION TYPE: A: Student-facing positions. Traditional School Calendar. August - May. This position offices in-person, on campus.

HOURS PER WEEK: Part-Time, Non-Exempt. 10-25 hours per week, 2-3 days/week, 7:45am - 4pm Potential additional coverage opportunities during the week as needed

SUPERVISOR: Accommodations Manager & Academic Support
