We are seeking a skilled Software Development Specialist with a strong emphasis on Usability Testing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accessibility standards, particularly WCAG 2.1 and 2.2, and hands-on experience with various screen readers. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure our software products are user-friendly and compliant with accessibility guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct usability testing to evaluate the accessibility and user experience of software applications.
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Utilize screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, AIRA) to assess and improve application accessibility.
• Implement semantic HTML practices to enhance web accessibility.
• Evaluate mobile accessibility and ensure applications are optimized for mobile devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility features into software products.
• Maintain awareness of compliance requirements and best practices in accessibility.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional testing of banking applications.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Usability Testing.
• Mastery of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 accessibility standards.
• Hands-on experience with screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, AIRA).
• Proficient in semantic HTML and mobile accessibility.
• Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional testing.
• Banking experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Online Banking and Bill Payment (OLBB) systems.
• Familiarity with point of sale systems.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
