We are seeking an Accessibility Project Support Specialist - Level II (Program Compliance Support) to support our federal client.

This position is contingent on contract award.

  • Location: This position is fully remote within the U.S.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

The Accessibility Project Support Specialist - Level II will provide program compliance support, data analysis, and technical governance oversight to ensure Information and Communications Technology (ICT) initiatives adhere to federal Section 508 standards throughout the project lifecycle.

In this full-time role, you will analyze and validate accessibility data, review Section 508 requests through DHS governance processes, interpret web accessibility test results, and compile monthly, quarterly, and annual activity and compliance reports. Additionally, you will serve as a key resource for ICT project and acquisition teams, providing technical assistance, reviewing deliverables at critical SDLC milestones, and providing back-up support for electronic document remediation and instructor-led accessibility training.

What You Bring to the Table - Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certification: Active International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) certification.
  • Experience:
  • 4+ years of overall professional experience in ICT accessibility compliance and project support.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting ICT project and acquisition efforts by addressing Section 508 requirements at defined lifecycle stages for complex IT projects.
  • 2+ years of dedicated experience evaluating and remediating electronic documents and forms (including Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF) for Section 508 standards.
  • Standards Knowledge: Broad knowledge and technical understanding of the Revised Section 508 Standards, DHS governance review processes, and federal accessibility reporting frameworks.
  • Core Capabilities:
  • Project & Acquisition Support: Proven ability to integrate Section 508 compliance checkpoints into ICT acquisition processes and system development lifecycles (SDLC).
  • Governance & Reporting: Skilled in reviewing ICT requests through DHS governance processes, interpreting web testing results, and synthesizing complex data into monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reports.
  • Document Remediation & Training: Demonstrated capability to evaluate, remediate, and provide verbal and written instruction on electronic document accessibility (Microsoft Office and PDF).
  • Communication & Analysis: Excellent analytical, data validation, and communication skills to interface effectively with project teams, technical leads, and government management.
