Travel Percentage: NegligibleJOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Access Manager, the Access Specialist assists members by issuing and receiving library materials, locating books and other materials, managing members’ library accounts, issuing library cards, providing information about library accounts and services, assisting with self-service equipment and technology, and assisting with basic collection maintenance.
This position will be assigned to the Bethany Library, which is located at 6700 NW 35th Street in Bethany, OK 73008. The candidate should be available to work all hours the library is open, including some weekends and evenings. Current need requires availability to work Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 to 9:00 pm and an alternating weekend shift consisting of Friday from either 8:00 to 5:00 pm or 12:00 to 9:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 to 6:00 pm.*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and

Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- One or more years of customer service experience
HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Experience with an automated circulation system
- Strong desire to work with and help people
Salary and BenefitsThe hiring salary for this position is $16.62 hourly.  This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.  This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
