
Position: Access Services Coordinator – Evening Supervisor
Department: Cullom-Davis Library
Reports to: Access Services Librarian
Appointment: Full-time; 37.5 hours per week (12 month position)
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
**Note: During the fall and spring semesters, this position is required to work a shift of Sunday through Thursday, 7.5 hours per day. In the summer and interims, this position moves to a daytime shifts between 8 am and 5 pm.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Evening Supervisor is responsible for covering the late-evening hours in the library's Access Services department. Most of the shifts for this position are closing shifts, which end a few minutes after midnight (4 pm to Midnight). During school and summer breaks, hours are a day shift, Monday through Friday.
Duties include working assigned shifts at the Circulation desks; charging, discharging, and renewing items; ensuring quality customer service; assisting in coordinating student employees; responding to requests for information and assistance; handling patron problems; performing other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two years library or office experience that demonstrates: knowledge of library procedures or office equipment; ability to work independently; exhibit sound/accurate judgment; work with sensitive information and records; effective communication in written, telephone, and personal communications; show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; demonstrate computer literacy; possess experience in Windows-based applications; exhibit good organizational skills, as well as the ability to handle details and multi-step processes; manage/coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and in deadline.
MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in a normal office environment with little exposure to outdoor temperatures or dirt and dust. Working conditions are typically moderately quiet.
