The Role

As an Access Control Attendant, you are the frontline defense during the critical overnight and early morning setup hours. You will ensure that only authorized personnel, vendors, and officials gain entry to the grounds before the main gates open to the public.

Key Responsibilities

• Gatekeeping: Strictly verify credentials, parking passes, and authorization for all individuals and vehicles arriving overnight.
• Perimeter Monitoring: Monitor entry points to prevent unauthorized access or trespassing on the event grounds.
• Professional Greeting: Welcome authorized vendors and early-morning staff with a professional, alert, and authoritative demeanor.
• Team Coordination: Communicate effectively with event management and site supervisors to report arrivals or resolve access questions.

• Access Control Experience: Previous experience in gate access control is preferred.
• Night Owls: Ability to stay sharp, observant, and fully energized during an overnight shift.
• Firm but Polite Demeanor: Confidence to turn away unauthorized visitors while remaining professional.
• Reliability: Dependable transportation to Camden, SC, and absolute punctuality are non-negotiable.

• Access Control Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience access control.
• Credential Verification Skills: Proven ability to read, interpret, and accurately verify credentials, guest lists, and vehicle placards.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to clearly and politely enforce entry restrictions.

Physical & Environmental Demands

• Overnight Stamina: Demonstrated ability to maintain high alertness and concentration during a 12:00 AM – 9:00 AM graveyard shift.
• Cold Weather Endurance: Willingness and ability to work completely outdoors in late November overnight temperatures (which can drop into the 30s/40s).
• Physical Mobility: Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for the duration of the 9-hour shift.

• Reliable Transportation: Personal, dependable transportation to the event grounds in Camden, SC, ensuring arrival before the 12:00 AM start time.
