The Opportunity:
We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Operative to join the Facilities team at our training academy.
This role would suit someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and previous facilities or maintenance experience. We are interested in finding the right person with the right mindset who is happy to get stuck in and support the wider organisation.
You will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the academy, maintaining high standards across the site through planned and reactive maintenance, contractor management, compliance activities, cleaning duties and general operational support.
You'll receive training on our site-specific systems, compliance procedures and pool plant operations, along with opportunities for ongoing professional development.

The ideal candidate will be willing to undertake a wide range of facilities and maintenance tasks, demonstrating good communication and strong people skills. An organized and proactive approach is essential, along with a pride in maintaining high standards. As a team player with a flexible mindset, you will thrive in a dynamic environment.
Desirable qualities include experience working within a commercial, education, leisure, or sporting setting, as well as knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and experience conducting compliance checks. Qualifications such as Pool Plant Operator certification (or willingness to obtain it), First Aid certification, and IOSH Working Safely training would be advantageous.
