
The Department of Political Science, Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University (https://bush.tamu.edu/) is recruiting for a full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-tenure) faculty position at the rank of either instructional assistant professor, instructional associate professor, or instructional professor. The position would be a 9-month appointment with an expected starting date for August 1, 2027. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level and provide support for the development of the Political Science undergraduate programs and curriculum, participate in all aspects of the department’s activities, and serve the profession. The position is open with respect to field, though introductory political science courses including, but not limited to, courses on American National Government and/or State and Local Government will be a part of teaching expectations. Faculty hired with an instructional title will be expected to significantly contribute to service within the Department of Political Science.

Candidate must have a Ph.D. in political science or a related field. Strong preference will be given to candidates with significant teaching experience related to survey-level political science courses that are required of all students at Texas A&M University. Experience using classroom and online technology will also be preferred, though not required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
