Job Description

The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for an academic professional track position as Instructional Professor. This is a full-time, non-tenure accruing, 9-month appointment with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. Duties for the position include teaching three courses per semester and participating in service activities at the depatment and/or college level.

This position will also serve as the Executive Director for the Center for Teaching Excellence. The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) supports Texas A&M University’s educational mission by forging partnerships to inspire and sustain faculty, student, and organizational transformation through an innovative, dynamic, and supportive learning environment guided by evidence-based practices. The Executive Director will have administrative oversight over center programs.

Successful candidates will have significant experience in higher education with specializations in faculty success and student engagement, teaching innovation initiatives, and collaborations between administration, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Mathematics is required as well as significant teaching experience at the college level.
