
The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. Clinical responsibilities will focus on care of children in inpatient and ambulatory settings at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital ambulatory clinics and other offsite ambulatory locations affiliated with the University of Chicago. Opportunities for leadership roles may be available to candidates with appropriate skills or experience. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital is a 155-bed facility with state-of-the-art technology and amenities that offers world-class medical care to children from around the Chicagoland area and across the globe.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana, 3) have completed an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonology and/or Sleep Medicine training program, 4) be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology, and 5) have bronchoscopy experience.
We especially welcome applicants with experience as clinical educators and/or conducting research in the field of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine.
