Job Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, is searching for full-time faculty at any rank on the School of Medicine track to provide clinical and inpatient care for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and general gastroenterology (GI). Appointees will focus on IBD, intestinal ultrasound, and general GI to support the growing patient demand at our onsite clinics in Hyde Park and at our offsite locations. Other duties include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
