
The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Nephrology, is searching for a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointee will provide patient care for patients with chronic kidney disease, end-stage kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and post-transplant general nephrology care at our Hyde Park locations. This appointee’s work will focus on outpatient nephrology and inpatient nephrologic care with a focus on critical care nephrology and will maintain an active and productive clinical portfolio. Other duties include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.
Compensation is dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board Certified or Eligible in nephrology.
We especially welcome applicants with experience in inpatient hospital care as well as outpatient in-center dialysis therapies, who may have the opportunity to become a Medical Director or Co-Director of one of our off-site dialysis facilities.
