The Academic Dean works closely with the Academic Vice President on academic leadership, faculty development, and program quality assurance. The Academic Dean hires and supervises Department Chairs and oversees program development and improvement. The Academic Dean is the key liaison with the Department Chairs for all issues related to the faculty.
The University: LCC International University is a fully accredited liberal arts university located in the port city of Klaipeda, Lithuania. Instruction is in English and the campus is residential. Our more than 500 students from diverse faith backgrounds come from nearly 60 countries for an education modeled on the North American liberal arts college with a Christian worldview. Duties and Responsibilities: ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP
Hires and supervises Department Chairs.
Provides leadership and support, in consultation with the Academic Vice President, to departments working on accreditation.
Outlines the process for program development in collaboration with all on campus process participants.
Provides leadership and support, in consultation with the Academic Vice President, to new program development teams.
FACULTY DEVELOPMENT
Plans, identifies, and creates opportunities for faculty development.
Chairs the Academic Leadership Team and other committees and task forces as assigned.
Works with department chairs to facilitate Departmental Planning and Faculty Professional Development Review process.
Leads the faculty in developing and improving the educational programs and policies of the university, including curricular offerings, pedagogical methods, supportive co-curricular opportunities, graduation requirements, and effective processes of assessment.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Works in conjunction with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness to ensure programs implement and follow all QA policies and procedures.
Maintains the LCC Internal Quality Assurance processes across academic programs with regular reports to the Academic Vice President.
OTHER
Represents LCC in the larger academic community as appropriate.
Teaches two courses per semester as appropriate, as determined in coordination with the Academic Vice President.
Other items as needed.

Job Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS Education: Ph.D. required Experience: Successful classroom and academic leadership experience; experience in program and personnel assessment Skills:
Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English; Lithuanian preferred
