The Academic Coordinator serves as executive support to the Division Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology and is responsible for reviewing reports and synthesizing information for leadership. Under general direction, the role performs complex professional and analytical duties to provide staff assistance to department directors and other senior level management personnel. The position conducts special studies and assignments across a variety of administrative and operational procedures and topics, often with department wide, cross departmental, and major financial impact, and prepares clear written reports while presenting recommendations to senior management and internal and external groups. This role requires both breadth and depth in the application of relevant concepts and techniques, along with a thorough understanding of organizational policies and procedures and the ability to perform a wide range of management analysis methods and processes.
