Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a mid-level Trade Mark Attorney or solicitor with 2–5 years' post-qualification experience to join our Dubai-based intellectual property team. You will manage a diverse portfolio of trade mark, design and other IP matters for local and international clients, working closely with senior attorneys and partners on both contentious and non-contentious work across the UAE and wider GCC/MENA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct trade mark clearance searches and advise clients on registrability and availability
  • Prepare and file trade mark applications in the UAE and other GCC/MENA jurisdictions, and coordinate filings through foreign associates for international markets
  • Manage prosecution of applications, including responding to office actions and examiner queries
  • Handle trade mark oppositions, cancellations, and appeals before the UAE Ministry of Economy and relevant tribunals
  • Advise on enforcement strategy, including cease-and-desist correspondence, customs recordals, and anti-counterfeiting measures
  • Manage renewal, recordal, and portfolio maintenance programmes for client trade mark portfolios
  • Draft and advise on IP assignments, and coexistence agreements
  • Liaise directly with clients to provide strategic IP advice and portfolio management recommendations
  • Supervise and mentor paralegals or junior associates
  • Stay current on developments in UAE and GCC trade mark law and practice

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–5 years' experience in trade mark prosecution and portfolio management, ideally within a law firm or IP boutique
  • Qualified trade mark attorney/agent, or legal qualification with relevant IP experience; UAE/GCC trade mark practice experience strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of UAE Federal Trademark Law and GCC trade mark systems
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and client communication skills
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines across a multi-jurisdictional caseload with minimal supervision

As an Associate, you will play a vital role in fostering team collaboration, ensuring legal accuracy, and contributing to long-term client success. You will have exposure to a sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional IP practice in a collaborative team environment with mentorship from senior IP practitioners

Join us and take your legal career forward with purpose.
