QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
• Current K-12 teaching license (any subject area); licensure in ABE; or BA or MA in ESL, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or Bilingual Education
Preferred
• Previous experience working with adults
This position will provide quality instruction to student learners in the core content areas as defined by the state of Minnesota, specifically English Language instruction to non-native populations. Responsibilities include lesson planning using provided curriculum and supplemental resources, monitoring student attendance, collaborating with other instructors, and providing direct English language instruction in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing, as well as helping students to improve digital literacy and Academic, Career, and Employability (ACES) skills.

• Plan coherent, culturally relevant and appropriate instruction while adhering to ABE standards in CCRS, ACES, and digital literacy
• Create a welcoming environment for all students with an established culture of learning
• Communicate clearly and accurately
• Engage students in learning
• Provide feedback to students
• Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness
• Maintain accurate records
