Job Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Radiology is expanding and searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will have responsibilities in all aspects of abdominal imaging including interpretation of CT, MRI, US, performance of abdomen/pelvis fluoroscopy and image guided biopsies. The appointees will also participate in a variety of interdisciplinary conferences in order to build collaborative relationships across campus. Other duties will include training and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows. This position is based at the University of Chicago Medicine’s Hyde Park campus, where the appointee will spend most of their time. This role involves patient care delivery across other University of Chicago Medicine (UCM) sites in downtown Chicago and Northwest Indiana and may require occasional travel. Remote days are included weekly. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. The Department of Radiology includes more than 80 full-time faculty members, clinical associates, and postdoctoral researchers. In addition to teaching medical students, residents and fellows, our faculty conduct cutting-edge translational and clinical research. The medical center complex is located on the main campus of the University of Chicago, south of downtown along the shore of Lake Michigan. The local Hyde Park community is a vibrant center with restaurants and entertainment. Chicago itself is a world class city.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Radiology, and 4) have completed a Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging or have equivalent experience.
