Job Description

Job Title: ABAP Developer

Location: SAP Field Service Management Unit (Part of SAP CX Organization)

We seek talented and motivated engineers to join our team at SAP Field Service Management, a division within the SAP CX organization. This is an exciting opportunity to develop best-in-class integration solutions that deliver continuous business benefits to our customers.

Expectations and Tasks:

  • 7+ years of experience in ABAP development, especially ABAP OO
  • Responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of project module components.
  • Work on relatively complex problems, using standard programming concepts and principles.
  • Collaborate as a fully contributing team member under broad supervision/guidance.
  • Be self-motivated, a team player, a quick learner, and willing to go beyond expectations to deliver high-quality products

Education, Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong programming background in ABAP/ABAP OO
  • Excellent technical skills in:
    • ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) modelling
    • RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming)
    • OData
    • Test Driven Development (TDD)
    • Fiori
    • Extensibility
    • API development
  • Experience with RAP Design and implement new RAP features using ABAP
  • Knowledge of ABAP Unit Testing
  • Exposure to Agile Development Methodologies like Scrum
  • Experience or functional knowledge in S/4HANA Service/CS/PM is desirable
  • Exposure to all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), with customer-facing experience being a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing business environment Flexibility and adaptability are essential for success in this role.
