Job Shift: DayAssociated Recreation Council (ARC) is seeking a qualified ABA Therapist / Behavior Specialists to provide behavioral support services for children participating in ARC’s licensed Seattle Preschool Programs (SPP), serving ages 3-5. This opportunity is structured as an independent contractor agreement.
ARC partners with Seattle Parks and Recreation to provide access to high-quality licensed childcare, early learning, and recreational programming throughout Seattle. Contractors in this role support young children’s social, emotional, and behavioral development by applying Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies within classroom and program environments.

Contractor Agreement
This is an independent contractor role, not an employment position. Contractors operate as self-employed service providers responsible for managing their own business operations, taxes, insurance, and work methods.
Contractors maintain discretion and control over how services are delivered, consistent with program needs, applicable laws, and agreed-upon service expectations.
What You’ll Do
Contracted providers may perform services such as:
· Delivering individualized ABA-informed behavioral support consistent with child service plans
· Observing, documenting, and tracking behavioral progress
· Collaborating with classroom educators and ARC’s operational leaders to support implementation of behavioral strategies
· Providing general guidance aligned with ARC program health and safety practices
Compensation
· Service Rate: $50-75 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
· Work Volume: Service hours will vary based on program needs and mutually agreed availability
Contractors submit invoices according to ARC’s contractor payment procedures.
Service Locations
Services are typically provided at:
· Seattle-area community center preschool classrooms: Alki, Ballard, Bitter Lake and Meadowbrook
Contractors are responsible for their own transportation between service locations.

Qualifications & Experience
Required:
· ABA Therapist, Behavior Specialist, or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential
· Demonstrated experience working with young children (ages 3–5 preferred)
· Working knowledge of ABA principles and behavioral data collection
Preferred:
· Experience supporting children in early learning or classroom environments
· Experience collaborating with educators and program staff
Contractor Requirements
Selected contractors must:
· Be authorized to work in the United States
· Successfully complete required background screening consistent with licensing standards
· Maintain any required professional certifications or credentials
· Comply with applicable health, safety, and program site requirements
Independent contractors are responsible for maintaining any business licenses, insurance, or professional coverage applicable to their practice.
