Your part in our St Andrews War Memorial Hospital team

As anAnaestheticTechnician you will provide support to the Cardiac Catheter Theatre team and be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment foroptimalpatient outcomes.

Accountabilities will include:

  • Assess, plan,implementand evaluate the care of the perioperative patient.

  • Recognisethe changing needs of clients and act to meet those needs.

  • Respond to changes in the patient’sanaestheticcondition.

  • Perform clinical procedurescommensuratewith the level of educational preparation/competency.

  • Pre-empt and protect the rights and safety of the patient.

  • Undertake other duties as required/directed as service needschangeor grow, consistent with the above and within the scope of the position.

What makes a difference for us?

  • Diploma ofAnaestheticTechnology or equivalent

  • Australian Working Rights (We are unable to provide sponsorshipsat this time)

  • Previousexperience as anAnaestheticTechnician in an acute healthcare facility.

  • Knowledge of advancedanaestheticequipment, monitoring techniques, and emergency management protocols.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with multiple complex cases.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to handle stressful and dynamic situations.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-basedpractice

  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements
