A Level or High B+ Level Automotive Technician - $40-$50 Flat Rate - No Weekends

Location: Timonium, MD
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; no weekends
Pay Rate: $40-$50 per flagged hour (Depending on Experience / Skills / Certs.)
Pay Type: Flat rate

Typical Flagged Hours: 40-50 hours per week

Introduction

We are seeking an A Level or very strong B+ Level Automotive Technician in Timonium, MD with solid diagnostic, electrical troubleshooting, and advanced repair skills. This is a Monday-Friday opportunity with no weekends, a steady 75+ vehicle weekly car count, and technicians currently flagging 40-50 hours per week. The shop offers a family-owned, team-oriented environment, modern diagnostic tools, and fully paid employee medical coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Perform advanced automotive repairs, including timing chains and timing belts.
• Use diagnostic and electrical testing skills to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
• Service and repair a balanced mix of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections using AutoVitals.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and contribute to a team-oriented shop environment.
• Support an efficient workflow while maintaining quality repair standards.
• For A-Level candidates, provide technical support and mentorship to other technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• A Level Technician or very high B+ Level Technician with strong diagnostic and repair capabilities.
• Strong automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with drivability concerns and advanced mechanical repairs.
• Current ASE Certifications required; ideal candidates will have approximately 3-5 current ASE Certifications and be willing to earn additional certifications toward ASE Master Technician status.
• Maryland State Inspection License required.
• Independent repair shop experience preferred.
• Team-oriented approach; A Level candidates should be comfortable helping and mentoring other technicians.

Compensation & Benefits

• Flat-rate pay of $40-$50 per flagged hour, based on relevant experience, skills, and certifications.
• Technicians are currently flagging 40-50 hours per week based on existing workflow and technician productivity; actual production and earnings are not guaranteed.
